Mediators

Monthly Teleconference — free and open to the public

Mediators, regardless of amount of experience, may open new professional opportunities by attending a Certification Course in Managing Workplace Conflict:

The Train-the-Trainer (Track 1) option prepares mediators who are experienced seminar presenters and workshop leaders to conduct the Managing Differences Seminar Series for their own employing organization (internals) or for their clients (externals). As training is much less threatening service to sell than mediation, many mediators offer training as a way of establishing trust and familiarity with client organizations, who may subsequently engage them to resolve costly* disputes that they feel are "too hot to handle."

The Train-the-Professional (Track 3) option provides mediators tools to offer as a conflict coach, including the Coaching Video that actually demonstrates how to perform the core competencies for managing workplace conflict — an invaluable aid as you help your client gain the ability to handle difficult interpersonal situations.

Attendance under either registration option prepares experienced mediators to meet the criteria for attending MTI's Advanced Mediator Certification Course.

Regardless of which option you select, you will have unlimited personal access to these powerful and flexible organizational assessment instruments.

Continuing Mediator Education   Mediators are required to self-report those hours applicable to their areas of certification at the time of their renewal. Consult your state mediation authority to receive report forms and other details particular to your state. You will receive a certificate upon completion of the Conference that documents your attendance and the number of contact hours.

The training was great. As a practicing mediator I must say that Managerial Mediation was a paradigm shift for me. I would encourage all mediators to attend this training. It is a new, fresh and different look at what we do.
~ Dethra U. Giles, Director, Employee Relations, Georgia State University

An exceptional learning opportunity presented in a very down-to-earth and easily understood method. I recommend it highly.
~ ElGene Ver Dught, J.D., Mediation Services of Missouri, Kansas City
