A workplace rich with diversity has the potential of exceptional creativity and productivity; it also has the potential of bitter, destructive, disruptive, costly* conflict.
As Dr. Dana writes in the seminar sourcebook, "the differences that make us unique individuals are also sources of potential conflict between us" (Managing Differences, chapter 1, page 5). It is the special challenge of Diversity Specialists to help members of a work force or a community manage their differences in a positive, constructive, mutually beneficial manner.
Diversity Specialists will benefit by choosing the Train-the-Professional (Track 3) option. You'll receive the Coaching Video and many other resources (see links below) to help you help others engage in constructive, problem-solving dialogue with co-workers and with supervisors.
Those who have training responsibilities may prefer Train-the-Trainer (Track 1), since that option provides resources for delivering customized seminars for members of their employing organization and/or for external clients. External consultants appreciate the extensive marketing support provided.
