Affiliate Options with MTI Webiversity
This page may be reached by invitation only.

Consultants, training firms, nonprofit/community organizations, trade/professional associations, educational institutions, and other third parties are invited to affiliate with MTI Webiversity. Two forms of affiliation are offered:

Reseller
Resellers schedule a private webinar at a time that is not on the public webinar calendar.
Special arrangements for International Resellers.
Publicity Partner
Publicity Partners attract participants to currently scheduled public webinars.
Both kinds of affiliates enjoy these benefits:
  1. You receive unencumbered revenue (no investment, no expenses)
  2. You incur absolutely no cost, risk, or obligation
  3. You leverage unused potential of your existing marketing channels (website, newsletter, etc.) to produce additional income
  4. You provide a service to your members/associates at reduced cost
  5. You may piggy-back promotional messages for your services with news-worthy webinar announcements
  6. You are not required to maintain extensive information on your website (a banner is prepared and ready to insert into your website's html code — see illustrations below).
  7. External MTI Certified Trainers may use webinars to market their client services; internal trainers may use webinars to build support for staff development using MTI's instructor-led classroom seminars.
Advantages of being a Reseller:
  1. Greater potential income (Reseller retains all registration revenue above initial threshold of $495, whereas Publicity Partner receives 50% of all revenue above zero).
  2. Webinars may be scheduled for hours that are more convenient in time zones outside North America, and may be scheduled farther into the future, than the public webinar calendar.
  3. Resellers who are skilled facilitators may develop on-site consulting opportunities and establish new client relationships by combining webinars with a wide range of special applications — you have no obligation to MTI for income-producing opportunities that result.
Advantages of being a Publicity Partner:
  1. Involvement may be passive. Does not require active promotion of specially arranged non-public (i.e., Reseller-sponsored) webinars.
  2. Receive payments from MTI each month in which your publicity resulted in at least one registration in public webinars.

You may be both a Reseller and a Publicity Partner simultaneously.

Prospective Affiliates who are not familiar with Dr. Dana's work, or who would like to experience a webinar as a participant before committing to the arrangements described on this page, may avail themselves of our "buyer's remorse insurance" option. Your $295 public webinar registration fee will be refunded in the form of a supplement in that amount added to your first future payment of $500 or more resulting from use of your Promo Code (notice that $500 is the least expensive qualifying purchase option listed on the "buyer's remorse insurance" page).

Reseller — How it works

  1. Reserve a private webinar, scheduling it on a date and time that is convenient for members of your network or target population. We recommend that at least 30 days be allowed to attract an optimum number of registrants. Select a topic that you think may be of greatest interest to your marketplace. You may sponsor webinars on additional topics at a later time; you may maintain a recurring series for regular income.

  2. MTI will create a dedicated webpage on our site like this example.

  3. Publicize your special webinar by ethical means (no spam) and include links to your dedicated webpage and to the MTI Webiversity website - www.mediationworks.com/webinars - encouraging your prospective registrants to closely examine the program in order to establish confidence in its quality and value. A banner such as the following may be placed on your website:

    Recession-buster Training Webinar

    How to Mediate Employee Conflict Using Managerial Mediation
    Monday, July 6, 2009 ~ 10:00-11:00 am, Pacific Time (USA)
    Use Promo Code 123abc (save $50)

    A low-cost, high-value, web-based, multimedia training course that delivers vital competencies in conflict management for individuals, work teams, and organizations

  4. Registrants of Reseller-sponsored webinars receive the same program components, benefits, and features as those who attend MTI-sponsored webinars (except its use as "buyer's remorse insurance").

  5. MTI will issue a check (or pay by credit card, if preferred) to the Reseller for the total amount received in payments by participants who used your Promo Code, less $495 instructional fee less 5% to reimburse MTI for the cost of processing credit card payments. Payment will be made at the end of each month in which your Promo Code was used.

  6. In the event that only one or two registrants enroll, MTI will retain the $490 ($245 X 2) registration revenue received. The webinar is profitable to the Reseller when three or more lines are sold. Illustration of ten registrants: $2450 gross, less $495 instructional fee, less $122.50 reimbursement of credit card fees, yields net profit to Reseller of $1831.50.

  7. The Reseller will receive a report of all registrants who used the Reseller's Promo Code, including contact information.

  8. This Reseller program is designed for use in North America. Resellers in Europe and Australia/NZ may also use it. Resellers located elsewhere may prefer the International Reseller Program.

  9. Regarding the matter of opportunity cost, Dan Dana will commit his time to the reserved date and forego other opportunities that may arise in the interim. A failed marketing effort by a reseller would, therefore, incur opportunity cost. The reseller is not expected to insure MTI against that loss, nor to compensate MTI in the event of loss. However, it behooves MTI to vet prospective resellers to determine their capability of achieving a successful outcome.

Publicity Partner — How it works

Publicity Partnership resembles the Reseller arrangement (please read that information carefully) except for these important differences:

  1. Webinars are regularly scheduled public ones, not "private" webinars.

  2. The $495 instructional fee for private webinars does not apply, since the webinar is being held anyway.

  3. The Partner receives a check (or credit card payment, if preferred) from MTI for 50% of the total revenue received by registrants who use the Promo Code, even if as few as one registrant enrolled with the Partner's code.

  4. A personalized Partner webpage will be maintained, to which most links from the Partner's website and emails should be directed.

  5. A banner such as the following may be perpetually maintained on the Partner's website:
