Query Page for Publishers

This page is a query to foreign language publishers to consider publishing a translated edition of Managing Differences: How to Build Better Relationships at Work and Home

Query Letter

This general query letter is provided for publishers who visit this site as well as for use by Author's Agents who may customize and translate it for use in corresponding with publishers.

Dear [insert name of publisher],

Unmanaged employee conflict is the largest reducible cost in organizations today - and probably the least recognized.

Does [name of publishing company] produce a book that shows readers exactly how to reduce that cost?

I am writing to invite you to consider publishing a [insert language] edition of Managing Differences by Dr. Daniel Dana. The book provides a practical communication tool for resolving everyday conflicts that occur at work -- and also at home. This simple 4-step method, "Do-it-yourself Mediation," has proved effective over ten years of use by thousands of Dr. Dana's students and corporate clients. Six real-life cases are included in the work.

The book is easy to read and understand due to the author's common-sense approach, which does not leave the reader behind. It is suitable for the trade market and as a supplemental college textook.

Known internationally as the "Conflict Doctor," Daniel Dana is uniquely qualified to write this book. His 25-year career as a specialist in resolving workplace conflict includes invention of another powerful communication tool, "Managerial Mediation" - also described in this book.

With access to the internet, you may view extensive information about the book and its author at www.mediationworks.com/pubs/query.htm You may also download chapter 3 of the book which is presented as an instrument, "Measuring the Financial Cost of Organizational Conflict."

Dr. Dana and his firm, MTI International, Inc., are prepared to provide aggressive marketing assistance via the internet.

A copy of the current English edition is available on request.

Sincerely,
