Based in Tokyo, Japan Kaoru Ichikawa is Chief Operating Officer of J.E.A.P (Japan Employee Assistance Program), Tokyo Japan. J.EAP provides EAP services to Nationwide in Japan. She obtained her Master's and degree and worked in US for the total of 8 years. Upon returning to Tokyo, Japan, she has established Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) in Asian countries, including Japan, Malaysia, China, Australia, New Zealand, India, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam and Philippines for a Motorola Inc. as Director of EAP.
Kaoru’s specialty is Human Side of Change Management. As an certified consultant and trainer in Organizational Transition Management, she has conducted Transition Management Training for over 50 times to facilitate business changes, such as, Mergers & Acquisition, Divestiture, Factory Shut-down and Organizational Restructuring for businesses across Asia Pacific countries. As a trauma specialist and a holder of the advanced certificate of Critical Incident Stress Management, she has provided assistance to passenger and affected family members after the Singapore Airline Crash in Taiwan in 2000. Kaoru is a first and only Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) in Japan. Other licenses include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for State of California and Certified Clinical Psychologist for Japan Board of Clinical Psychologist.
