Frequently Asked Questions
If you don't find your question answered here, please send it by email to cruise@mediationworks.com so this page can be improved. Thank you!
Is it necessary that I book the cruise with MTI, or may I purchase it through my travel agent?
In order to be admitted to the free workshops, on-shore mediator meetings, or to participate in the Certification Course, you must book your cruise with MTI. We have negotiated an excellent group rate with Norwegian Cruise Lines that includes taxes and port fees.
Will any events be held during days in port?
No. Your time in port will be free to enjoy land-based opportunities.
If I register for an on-board educational program, will I have time to relax during the cruise, or will we be in work sessions most of the time?
You are free to select those educational sessions that interest you, and to leave plenty of time to enjoy the ship's attractions and services.
May I come on the cruise without registering for any educational programs?
Yes. Attendance at MTI's onboard educational programs is optional.
May I arrange air travel through MTI?
Yes. Our travel agent, LaVonne McKay, can help you with air travel and any other travel needs.
How many participants will there be?
The number of attendees for the free workshops is unlimited and unpredictable; however, we anticipate no more than 20 per session, depending upon its popularity.
I'll be traveling alone. Can MTI help arrange a roommate?
Yes. Solo travelers are welcome, and will find our on-board community a warm and welcoming group. Alternatively, you may book a private cabin at a surcharge determined by the cruise line. Call travel agent LaVonne McKay for assistance and more information.
I am an experienced workshop leader. May I present a workshop on the cruise?
Yes. Read more here.
What if I must cancel my cruise after I have registered or made a deposit?
See our cancellation policy.
