Students who are enrolled in MBA, Human Resources, Business Management, Public Administration, and related degree programs are invited to attend. The Certification Conference is of particular value to early- and mid-career professionals who are returning to complete their bachelor's or master's degrees. The conference is intended for mature individuals who already have a few years' experience in the world of work.
Students who are management-track professionals will find the Track 2 (Train-the-Manager) option to be invaluable in gaining the core competency (Managerial Mediation) for managing workplace conflict. Their certificate reads, "Certified Manager of Workplace Conflict."
Students whose careers are in human resources, employee relations, dispute resolution, ombuds, coaching, or other staff support functions may find the Track 3 (Train-the-Professional) option better suited to their career goals. Their certificate reads, "Certified Professional in Managing Workplace Conflict."
Students who anticipate careers in HRD, consulting, or training will find the Track 1 (Train-the-Trainer) option more beneficial. Indeed, students who are already experienced trainers may be able to immediately begin their independent training practice. The pre-paid set of materials for ten trainees received by Track 1 registrants allows them to recover their investment in the Conference with only one day of seminar delivery. Their certificate reads, "Certified Trainer of Managing Workplace Conflict."
All registrants receive access to the Dana Measure of Financial Cost of Organizational Conflict and the Dana Survey of Organizational Conflict Management Strategies, two benchmarking and assessment instruments for use in graduate theses, research papers, and other academic projects. Review these instruments now via the public-access Conflict Management Toolbox.
See these bibliographies on a range of conflict-related topics. Bring this information to the attention of your professor.
