Why is this fee necessary?

1. Custom-print and ship materials and certificates for each participant
2. Purchase food and refreshments for each participant
3. Report the number of participants to the venue for its physical preparations
4. Communicate to participants who are on the waiting list whether space is available

Late registrations (within 7 days) require expedited shipping of additional participant materials and certificates, reprinting of group rosters, recontacting venue regarding refreshments, and other last-minute preparations.

Although we welcome (when seats remain avilable) those who are unable to register in advance, we urge you to take advantage of the reduced fee for early registration (before 30 days prior). If this is not possible, we further urge you to avoid the $50 late registration surcharge by helping MTI avoid these last-minute preparations.
