Terry Marschall has been active as a mediator of workplace conflict for more than two decades. In her capacity as a trained mediator she has guided hundreds of people in resolving their differences in the workplace, creating collaborative and productive environments, and preserving the employer's bottom line.
Ms. Marschall has held numerous corporate and regional positions with top companies such as the Target Corporation, Woodward & Lothrop/John Wanamaker, Mervyns and the May Company. She held positions as a Divisional Vice President, Regional Human Resources Manager and Stores Director in these Fortune 500 companies. In 2005, Ms. Marschall formed a human resources consulting firm that was recently honored as Small Business of the Year in Maryland. Terry is the National and Government Services Manager for HRD200 Consulting Group, LLC.
Terry's success in resolving conflict flows from a deep understanding of the complexity and dynamics of workplace relationships and their impact on the organization as a whole. She offers first hand mediation experience from sexual harassment through to individual grievances and disciplinary situations. Terry shares experiences (some funny, some sad, and some outrageous) with her participants that demonstrate how virtually any difference that arises in the workplace can benefit from workplace mediation.
Ms. Marschall is certified as a Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) by the national Human Resources Certification Institute. She holds dual Bachelors Degrees in Business Administration and Fashion/Textile Design, with post-graduate studies in HRD at Kennedy Western University. Active in the community, Terry is involved with Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, Friends of Foster Care, and Families Adopting Children Everywhere. She is a member of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, national and local Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapters and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).
