With over 20 years' experience in strategic planning, operations, corporate education and facilitation, Laurel brings tremendous value to MTI's clients, drawing from the scope of her experience as a business executive and consultant.
Laurel has served as Director of Human Resources, Director of IT, Director of Training and Development, and Director of Operations for Allstate Insurance Company. She has also played a major role in two successful start-up organizations.
As an executive, Laurel has organized and led company-wide visioning sessions and change initiatives, led teams through process improvement, and participated in consolidation and start-up efforts.
As an independent facilitator, Laurel has facilitated executive teams, non-profits and other groups through strategic planning, issue resolution, process improvements, project management and market planning. She uses creativity and an interactive style to facilitate training programs, conduct performance feedback sessions, and facilitate problem solving or conflict resolution sessions.
Laurel has been actively engaged by clients such as Allstate Insurance Company, The Institute of Community Collaboration, The Tradewinds Foundation, Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, Deer Creek Real Estate, and the Broward Partnership for the Homeless.
Laurel is a Supreme Court Certified County Mediator for the State of Florida.
Laurel has a MS degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from NOVA Southeastern University of Florida. She also holds an MBA degree from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management of Illinois and a BA degree in Liberal Arts from Colorado State University.
