Founded in 1985, the mission of the Mediation Training Institute International is to be a value-adding resource for identifying and removing the hidden costs and business risks caused by adversarial practices within organizations.

Currently in our third decade, MTI has pioneered the use of the Internet to raise awareness of the costs of unmanaged conflict, and the benefits of intentional conflict management and mediation. The mediationworks.com website has enjoyed #1 ranking on Google for "mediation training" every day since 1997, and receives over 1000 unique visitors daily.

Our community's free and non-commercial MTI Monthly Newsletter is enjoyed by our over 75,000 members, making it the most popular newsletter in our field. Our range is global, with daily visitors and inquirers from every corner of the planet. MTI is proud to be an agent of constructive change in the world.

Now, in 2008, another significant initiative was launched. A global interactive community was established to take membership in our conflict resoution community to a new level - connecting professional solution providers with consumers of conflict resolution services — in organizations and societies worldwide. One that will help conflict resolution professionals realize their personal, professional, and financial potential.

You are invited to join the MTI Online Community. It is expected to become the largest non-commercial peer-to-peer professional network in the field of non-legal dispute resolution. As a member during the new community's early stage development, you will be a key contributor to creating the community's agenda and enhancing its impact.

• Members' Only Online Events — Regularly scheduled no-charge interactive online events available by conference call and Internet simulcast help conflict resolution professionals learn from the experiences of their peers. Members receive advance notice with invitations to actively participate. Advance notice and particpation is only available to interactive members.
• Mediation Training Supersite — Be the first to know and have the first opportunity to participate in this project, which will launch within a few months. The supersite will be a single source for all mediation training of every kind, anywhere in the world. Early access will only be available to interactive members.
• MTI Blog — Our recently launched blog will attract thousands of people to a wide array of mediation and conflict resolution services. Participation is open to anyone and in its first few months it was discovered by Google and is receiving global attention. Articles, case studies, and stories will be contributed only by interactive members.

Fellow interactive members of the community will provide an environment of collaboration in both the creation of your works, and the marketing of them as well.
• Peer-to-Peer Forum — The MTI Community website will contain an extensive forum discussion board where interactive members may network with one another for professional growth and business opportunities. This element is not yet in place - once it is ready interactive members will be notified long before it's contents are available to others.
• Automated Partners Program — Certain of MTI's products and services may be ideal tools for members to generate revenue, business leads, and growth of their professional practices. We will provide a range of marketing resources and strategies to help those interactive members who are interested.
