Groups of four or more individuals may arrange for a Mediator Certification Course to be conducted at their location.

Customization of content — Course content may be selected from the Foundation Course and the Advanced Course to suit the level of mediation experience of the group.

Customization of application — The course may be adjusted to apply mediation to the particular settings or kinds of organizations of interest to the group.

Customization of time — The course may be reduced in length to as little as three days. However, mediator certification is limited to courses of the full 40-hour (five-day) format.

Venue — A suitable training venue is to be provided by the group.

International — Private groups outside the United States and Canada are encouraged to consider this training option to avoid the cost of travel to North America to attend public courses.

Certification — Certification by the Mediation Training Institute International is extended to private groups who receive the full 40-hour training program. Abbreviated courses do not qualify for certification.

Cost — $7000 for the first four participants, $1500 for each additional participant, for the five-day full certification course (proportionately less for courses of three or four days duration). Group size: Minimum four, maximum twelve. Instructor travel and accommodations additional. A coach is needed if the number exceeds seven, but does not incur additional cost except the coach's travel and accommodations. Full prepayment is required unless payment is to be made by an established business, in which case 50% may be deferred by receipt of a signed corporate purchase order.

Note that the cost per person in the private group is substantially less than attendance of a scheduled open-enrollment course. Individuals who are interested in becoming a Certified Mediator are invited to coordinate a privately held course with three or more associates with similar interests.
