Groups of three or more individuals may arrange for a Mediator Certification Course to be conducted at their location. Current mediators who are dissatisfied with their income may consider retooling to practice in the more lucrative field of workplace mediation.

Customization of content — Course content may be adjusted to suit the level of mediation experience of the group.

Customization of application — The course may be adjusted to apply mediation to the particular settings or kinds of organizations of interest to the group.

Customization of time — MTI's unique "8-courses-in-1" structure includes 1-day and 2-day options. However, mediator certification is limited to courses of the full 40-hour (five-day) format.

Venue — A suitable training venue is to be provided by the group.

International — Private groups outside the United States and Canada are encouraged to consider this training option to avoid the cost of travel to North America to attend public courses.

Certification — Certification by the Mediation Training Institute International is extended to private groups who receive the full 40-hour training program. Professional Certification in Managing Workplace Conflict (with trainer certification option) is a two-day alternative.

Cost — $6000 for the first three participants, $1000 for each additional participant, for the five-day full certification course. Group size: Minimum three, maximum twelve. Instructor travel and accommodations additional. Full prepayment is required unless payment is to be made by an established business, in which case 50% may be deferred by receipt of a signed corporate purchase order.

Note that the cost per person in the private group is substantially less than attendance of a scheduled open-enrollment course. Individuals who are interested in becoming a Certified Workplace Mediator are invited to coordinate a privately held course with three or more associates with similar interests.
