Establishing or Improving
Your Organization's Internal Mediation Program

The Mediation Training Institute International is the sole source for inhouse delivery of the Mediator Certification Course for organizations wishing to establish or enhance the effectiveness of their existing internal ADR/mediation program.

The MTI Training System, a cafeteria plan for the strategic management of organizational conflict, offers the Mediator Certification Course à la carte, or as part of an integrated approach to prevention, management, and resolution of workplace conflict. (Refer to "Step 5: Expertize" of the system.)

Whether a one-time training event to establish an in-house panel of expert mediators, or a system-wide strategic intervention, you have access to Dana Mediation's on-line benchmarking and assessment instrumentsThe Dana Measure of Financial Cost of Organizational Conflict and The Dana Survey of Conflict Management Strategies — at no additional cost. Use of these instruments provides empirical, quantitative evidence for the program's financial and other benefits — a vital consideration for cost-conscious, results-oriented executives.

In-house mediation training is typically delivered as a 40-hour program on five sequential days. However, alternative scheduling and abbreviated formats may be arranged to suit client needs. Content of training may include the content of the Foundation Course or the Advanced Course or any combination of the two, and may also include elements of the Manager-as-Mediator Seminar as well as a live presentation by Dan Dana.

Customization includes pre-course interviews with key personnel to ensure full relevance of training to the kinds of issues that course participants will be mediating.

The cost of customized in-house delivery of the 40-hour Workplace Mediator Certification Course is $7000 for the first four participants, and $1500 for each additional participant. Group size: Minimum four, maximum twelve. Instructor travel and accommodations additional. A co-instructor/coach is needed if the number exceeds eight; no cost other than travel and accommodations. Calculate your return on investment in this training.
