Daniel Dana, Ph.D.
President & Director of Program Development
Mediation Training institute International

The originator of managerial mediation and the simple yet powerful "self mediation" communication tool, Dan Dana is internationally recognized as one of today's most influential innovators and practitioners of consensus-building communication methods for organizations.

Holding the Ph.D. in psychology, Dan served for several years as a professor of organizational behavior at the University of Hartford (Connecticut) Graduate School of Business, and has held faculty appointments at Syracuse University's Summer Institute on Conflict Resolution (Maxwell School) and at several other institutions. He has been a dedicated specialist in organizational conflict for over twenty-five years.

As President and founder of the Mediation Training Institute International, Dr. Dana seeks to expand global awareness and use of non-adversarial methods for managing human differences — in the workplace and beyond. He has been an invited lecturer at institutions on six continents, and is the author of Managing Differences, the sourcebook of DMI's seminars published worldwide in six languages, and Conflict Resolution: Mediation Tools for Everyday Worklife, a featured publication of McGraw-Hill's Briefcase Books series.

The web- and computer-based training program, Managing Workplace Conflict, is the latest and most technologically modern medium for delivery of the skills contained in Dr. Dana's body of work.
